Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
Your trust matters more to me than any sale. This policy explains what personal information HabitWell collects, why, and what you can do about it. HabitWell is operated by David O'Sullivan from Warkworth, New Zealand. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, for Australian clients, the Australian Privacy Principles.
What I collect
Your name, email address and phone number when you buy a programme, book a call, sign up for emails or contact me.
Payment details, which are handled by Stripe. I never see or store your full card number.
What you choose to share during the Reset or coaching — your goals, challenges and progress.
Basic website data (pages visited, device type, approximate location) collected by Squarespace to keep the site working and understand how it's used.
Why I collect it
To deliver what you've signed up for and stay in touch about it.
To process payments and keep the records the law requires.
To send the newsletter and free resources you've asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.
To improve the site and programmes.
I don't sell your information, and I don't share it with anyone except the services that help me run HabitWell.
Services I use
Squarespace — website
Stripe — payments
Calendly and Google Workspace — bookings, email and calendar
Kit — newsletter and emails
Some of these store information outside New Zealand and Australia, mainly in the United States. Each is required to protect it to standards comparable to ours.
What you share in sessions stays private
Anything you tell me during coaching or the Reset is treated as confidential. I won't share it or use it in testimonials or marketing without your written permission. In group sessions, everyone is asked to keep what others share confidential too.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted (except records I must keep by law, such as payment records). Email hello@habitwell.org and I'll respond within 20 working days.
If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, tell me first so I can put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (New Zealand) or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
